H for ..... Happiness

This is a work of fiction and forms a part of the Blogging from A to Z Challenge. I will attempt to write a new story based on the word for the day every day during the month of April.

Hari read the Survey Question again. “Are you where you wanted to be when you started out?
He rarely thought about the past, but it all came back. Twenty years back, when he joined a Big Five Accounting firm, Hari had expected to become Partner within a decade. He hadn’t counted on the financial downturn. Never thought he would be made redundant. Be forced to join a much smaller firm.

He reached for the cursor- “No
Overall, are you happy with where you are right now?” This time, he didn’t hesitate- “Yes

Happiness for Hari was a State of Mind.

A Drabble is a story told in exactly 100 words.

I like the idea of drabbles :) I used to write 55 fictions a long time back. Good luck with the rest of the challenge!

Natasha - Oh, beautiful! Yes! Life doesn't always turn out the way we plan it, but that doesn't mean we can't accept happiness.
